For over 90 years, RHFAS has been a thriving allotment society, fostering a community of passionate growers and gardeners. Our society spans two sites :
- The main site is nestled between Churchill Playing Fields and Alder Grove.
- The extension site, a smaller yet vibrant space, is located at the end of Dene Gardens, just before the Metro Bridge.
What makes us so special is that we are entirely self-managed. RHFAS is overseen by a dedicated Committee acting on behalf of our members and fabulous volunteers.
Without the volunteers we would simply not exist, this allows us to have very inexpensive running costs and fees compared to similar allotments in the vicinity.
Together, we ensure the smooth running of the allotments, uphold the terms of our lease, and maintain a well-managed, welcoming environment for all.
All members are expected to contribute to the society to ensure its maintains that special community feel so desperately required in our busy lives.
